This game is to help learners identify colors and create new colors by mixing the colors they know
This game is for less cooperative students who will simply say they like everything. The game randomly assigns students to vocabulary words to move to student to one side or the other. Shark Island works better for word identification with flashcards.
This game is to replace the hopscotch numbers with words and have students play the traditional game, only they have to say each word as they hop.
Students roll the virtual dice and move across the board. Depending on where they land they must prodice a sentence with a qualifier for practice.
The teacher enters student names, then a keyword for the first half of the sentence, followed by a keyword for the second half of the sentence. Students are then divided at random with the teacher’s prompts. This works great for Spin the Pn or other games were students must cooperate to generate a sentence or story.
The teacher will type a sentence, and the computer will scramble the words. Students must drag and drop words into the proper order.
To play this game, post vocabulary flashcards around the room. Students check the monitor to see which island they are safe on. They then run to that island, this limits the number of students racing to each card and helps younger learners recognize thier names. The teacher guides the students and tells them the shark will eat them if they are not on their island.
A variation of Hangman. The teacher enters vocabulary and students must guess the letters to spell the word, every wrong answer eliminates part of the snowman
This has a random monster grab a student for their turn, similar to a random name wheel with a twist for the students.
